The sculpture “Caviar Queen” captures a rare sturgeon-like fish that once inhabited the waters of the Danube. This imaginary fish, embodying the vizu, which in the past grew up to ten meters and carried a huge amount of caviar. Beluga caviar is currently one of the most expensive foods in the world. The author created it with an emphasis on uniqueness and beauty, while the fish seems to be swimming above the surface. This effect is underlined by its placement above a plinth made of resin and stone coming directly from the river, with which the sculpture evokes a sense of movement in the space above the water surface. The Queen of the Danube, the statue of the forgotten fish at first glance seems to be from another world, even a creature of fantasy, even if the realistic elements are obvious.
